Ceramsite ball AFS30-35 refractory material for ladle block is made from high-quality calcined bauxite through melting, screening, and blowing. Its spherical shape makes it suitable for ladle filler sand, as it reduces the contact area between sand particles, lowers the strength of the sintered layer, and facilitates pouring. Its low silicon content, high refractory temperature, and low thermal expansion coefficient mean that it expands minimally upon contact with molten steel, preventing molten steel penetration and making it suitable for ladle filler sand production.

  1. High refractory temperature prevents over-sintering, reducing the thickness of the starting ladle mixtures sintering layer.
  2. The spherical particles of ceramic sand are used to make drainage sand. The sintering layer particles are in point contact, reducing the strength of the filler mess and facilitating steel pouring.
  3. The spherical shape of ceramsite sand particles creates a smooth surface and offers excellent fluidity, helping to increase pouring efficiency.
  4. Its low thermal expansion coefficient prevents cracking of the nozzle filler mess.
  5. Its chemical properties are stable, preventing molten steel penetration.
